Members 1st now offers international currency purchase and exchange services with our partner, eZforex.com. Purchasing foreign currency online provides a host of benefits to international travelers.

Effective April 2, 2005, major credit card companies are now adding a 3% surcharge to all currency purchases made overseas. The charge is added to your regular monthly statement.
NOTE: Members 1st Visa Credit Cards only charge a 1% surcharge for purchases made overseas.

How does it work?

You must be a member with a valid account number to use this service. Your account number will be verified by eZforex and Members 1st prior to placing your order. When ordering online or over the phone, you can choose the type of currency, see the exchange rate, and select the amount in USD or foreign currency. To order, you’ll need to enter your personal information such as your name, address, phone number, payment method, account number, and identification information (driver’s license number and Social Security Number). Your identification information will then be verified by Members 1st for your added protection. Your purchase may be shipped directly to your home, or you may pick up your currency at any Members 1st branch location. You may also exchange foreign currency into USD at any Members 1st branch location.

How can I place an order?

Log in to Members 1st Online using your account number and password and click on the "Services" tab. Then, choose "Purchase Foreign Currency" under "Account Services." You will then be directed to eZforex’s Web site to purchase currency online.

For phone orders, you may call eZforex directly at (678) 322-2000. You may also call TeleBranch at (800) 237-7288 during regular hours of operation.

The eZCheck system verifies the check writer’s information (name, address, phone number, account and routing numbers and driver’s license number) by using many separate national databases, thus providing extra peace of mind for members.

Additionally, purchases are securely delivered by our partner, American Express.
