With Members 1st Deposit Anytime Anywhere service you can deposit checks directly into your account by simply using your own PC and scanner. This convenient home deposit service will save you time and money. You don’t need stamps and you won’t need to visit a branch to make a deposit.

What is Deposit Anytime Anywhere?

This is an expansion of deposit services available through our home banking service, Members 1st Online.

Is it secure?

Yes. Our secure online service provides you with the ability to scan your checks and electronically send those check images to us for deposit into your account.

If you prefer electronic banking, receive checks to deposit, are short on free time, or do not live close to a branch, this service is for you.

How do I sign up?

Complete the application and bring it to your local branch or mail it to: TeleBranch (Customer Service), Members 1st FCU, PO Box 40, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.

Will I be notified if I’m approved for this service?

Upon review of your application and account status, you will receive a notice informing you of your approval status. After applying, you will be notified in a few business days of your application status and initial sign on instructions.

Are there any fees associated with using this service?

No, this is a free service offered to qualified members. There’s no monthly access fee, check fees or deposit fees.

What kind of costs could I incur?

The only out of pocket costs would be for you to purchase a scanner and a computer if you don’t already have these.

How does Deposit Anywhere Anytime work?

  1. When you receive paper checks you wish to deposit, properly endorse them using blue or black ink.
  2. After endorsing your checks, log in to Members 1st Online*, go to the "Services" tab and click "Deposit Anytime Anywhere".
  3. Follow the prompts which will give you step-by-step instructions on creating a deposit, preparing the deposit, scanning each individual check to be deposited, and informing you of the information needed to enter into the various windows that will appear on your screen.
  4. When you have completed your scanning and entered all of the necessary data, a confirmation page will appear. You should print this page for your records.

How are my check images electronically received for processing?

This service operates in conjunction with Members 1st Online. You will gain access to Deposit Anytime Anywhere when you log in to Members 1st Online. Once logged in, a separate tab will link you to this deposit service. You will then be ready to submit your deposit and the checks will be electronically processed over the same secure online service.

What types of checks can I deposit?

This service is for single party domestic checks made payable to the owner(s) of the account. An example would be a check written to you as a birthday or wedding gift or a check you may have collected because you sold some goods or services.

Prohibited checks include:

  • Foreign checks drawn on a foreign bank
  • Money orders
  • Checks payable to an individual not on the account

Do you want to have same day access to use the funds you deposit?

If your check(s) are scanned before 6 p.m. on a business day, the funds will be available after 7 p.m. the same day (Monday-Friday). Any funds scanned after 6 p.m. will be available on the next business day.

How will I know if my deposit was successfully made?

You will receive a confirmation email. You may also verify your deposit using Members 1st Online.

When will the funds be available for me to use?

Your funds will be available for immediate use after the transaction is posted to your account.

What should I do with the paper checks after they are scanned for deposit?

We recommend that you confirm your deposit has been made and save the paper check for no more than 30 days. Make sure the checks are stored in a safe, secure location until they are properly destroyed.

Is there a limit to the amount of check deposits I can make each day?

Yes. There is a daily deposit limit of the lesser of $1,500 or 100 checks. We reserve the right to change these limits at any time.

How do I pay my loan by check using Deposit Anytime Anywhere?

You can post the check deposit to your savings or checking account using Deposit Anytime Anywhere. Then, using the Transfer function in Members 1st Online, simply transfer the fund from your savings or checking account to your loan.
