Applications are now being accepted for our 2022 Education Award & Scholarship Program. Selected full-time students will complete a 12-week PAID summer internship and receive a $2,500 scholarship for educational expenses. 


If you are currently an undergraduate attending an accredited college, university or technical school, you are eligible to apply. We are seeking students from the following majors: Accounting, Business, Communications, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology and Marketing.

Finance application

Accounting or finance majors who are taking coursework around accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliations and financial functions are encouraged to apply for the Finance Education Award.

Human resource or business majors who are taking coursework around employee relations, recruiting, benefits, compensation, wellness, payroll and any other areas pertaining to Human Resources are encouraged to apply for the Human Resources Education Award.

Information technology or computer science majors who are taking coursework around web development, network technologies, project management, cybersecurity and other areas pertaining to information technology are encouraged to apply for the Information Technology Services (ITS) Educational Award.

You must be currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student at an accredited college, university or technical school to apply for the internship. You must also be a member of Members 1st FCU.

No, this internship is intended for students currently enrolled as first-time undergraduate students.

If you have a family member who works, volunteers or interns at Members 1st FCU, you may apply, and we will evaluate each application on a case-by-case basis.

Yes, you may apply for the internship if you are currently employed by Members 1st FCU.

A committee of Members 1st FCU associates reviews each application packet and essay. Based on the application criteria and quality of essay answers, four recipients will be selected. One recipient per application topic (Finance, Human Resources, ITS and Marketing) will be selected.

All applications must be completed by the specified date on the application. All applications that are submitted after that date are not eligible.

Yes, you may apply again as long as you have not participated in an internship at Members 1st FCU in the past and you meet the program qualifications.

Yes, all applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.50 (on a 4.00 scale). Incoming transfer students must also meet the 2.50 or higher GPA requirement.

Please submit a completed application, cover letter, resume, official transcript and three letters of recommendation. Two of the three letters of recommendation must be academic and/or professional.
