Members 1st is more than just a financial institution—we’re a partner in helping local businesses grow, thrive and give back to our communities. Whether it’s providing the right products, personalized guidance or lending a listening ear, we’re here to support business owners at every stage. But don’t just take our word for it—hear straight from the business owners who are making their dreams happen with us by their side.
Building Trust Through Relationships
For many business owners, choosing a financial partner comes down to great service and trust.
“As a small business owner, choosing Members 1st was an easy decision. I wanted a financial partner that not only offered great products but also understood the importance of personal relationships. From business checking to online banking, the services have been invaluable in keeping my day-to-day operations running smoothly. Everyone I’ve worked with has been so friendly and is always available for support. It feels less like banking and more like working with friends, and I’m completely comfortable trusting them with my business.” – Katie Dotterer, Founder/Instructor, AgvoKate, LLC
Streamlining Operations with Cash Management
Running a business is easier when you have the right tools. Our Cash Management platform helps owners save time and stay organized.
“We strive to work with local businesses whenever possible, and we feel that Members 1st looks out for the best interest of its people. The Cash Management team taught us how to use the business platform and to do remote deposits, saving us time and increasing our efficiency.” – Kate Mullen, Director of Development & Community Relations, Aaron’s Acres
Flexible Credit Options That Power Growth
From laying the groundwork with a line of credit to managing everyday costs with credit cards—we have options to meet each business’s unique needs and goals.
“From the very beginning, when JMA was just getting off the ground, Members 1st provided us with a line of credit that gave us the foundation to grow, and they’ve continued to stand beside us as our business has expanded. Whether it’s providing the right financial tools, from credit to everyday banking, or simply being available with thoughtful guidance, the Members 1st team consistently goes above and beyond.” – Nancy Martindell, President, JMA Resources, Inc
“The original name and roots of Members 1st (DAFCU) mean a great deal to us because we know that DAFCU was founded to help serve veterans. Also important to us was that the leadership team of Members 1st is always out in the community—supporting organizations, helping people in need and empowering dreamers to become doers. We secured a line of credit, which we used during the construction phase of our project. That funding was a game-changer for us, as one of the keys to breaking ground and becoming who we are today.” – Thomas Zimmerman, Jr., Co-Founder, Veterans Outreach of Pennsylvania
“When looking for a financial institution for our small business, we wanted to make sure it was a credit union with an abundance of products to choose from to help run our business smoothly and get us off to a great start. Members 1st has worked with our business to meet our specific needs, instead of treating all businesses the same. Their business credit cards have helped us throughout the years get started with funding. We look forward to continuing our business with them!” – Logan Grudi, Owner, Sow N Grow Greenhouse
Technology That Keeps Business Moving
Our mobile and online banking services make it easy for businesses to stay on top of their finances anytime, anywhere.
“Members 1st has given us the tools and confidence to focus on growing our business. Their technology—especially mobile and online banking—is smooth and reliable, which frees up more of our time to focus on our customers. The Ephrata branch team has gone above and beyond since day one, checking in on us, celebrating milestones and genuinely wanting to see us succeed. Members 1st combines the personal touch of a local credit union with the technology and efficiency of a large bank, and that’s a perfect fit for a small business like ours.” – Brian and Andrea Keith, Owners, Parkhill Jewelry
Supporting Growth and Community Impact
Behind every local business is a mission—and we’re proud to help our members make a difference.
“We are so grateful for Members 1st and their partnership from the very beginning. Thanks to their support, we’re able to expand into a larger retail space and event venue, increasing our capacity to serve the women of south-central Pennsylvania from 165 to over 1,200 each month through our nonprofit. Their belief in our mission means the world to us." – Rachel Greenholt, Founder, The Olive Branch
At Members 1st, our business relationships go beyond transactions—they’re partnerships built on trust, innovation and shared success. Whether you’re just starting out or expanding your operations, we’re here to help you reach your goals.
