Members 1st Federal Credit Union held its 28th Annual Charity Golf Classic on Monday, June 2, at the Hershey Country Club in Derry Township, PA. More than 140 golfers and 75 sponsors raised $130,000 which will go to the Members 1st Charitable Foundation. These funds will help the foundation continue its mission of awarding grants to local nonprofit organizations throughout the credit union’s footprint. From addressing food insecurity and housing needs to supporting youth programs and education, these nonprofits are driving meaningful change in the communities Members 1st serves.

Since its inception, the Members 1st Charitable Foundation has awarded more than $481,000 in grants to local nonprofits. These organizations are addressing some of the region’s most pressing needs, including food insecurity, affordable housing, youth mentorship programs, mental health services and educational initiatives. One recent grant helped a local healthcare organization’s mobile team bring vital healthcare services like pediatric wellness visits and immunizations to more than 44,000 patients across Pennsylvania. Another recent grantee was able to donate 64,000 pounds of produce to local families in need, thanks in part to the financial support from the Members 1st Charitable Foundation.

By investing in these grassroots efforts, the Foundation ensures that critical resources reach the people and neighborhoods who need them most—right here in Pennsylvania communities. In addition to grant funding, Members 1st associates have volunteered nearly 6,000 hours at community and charitable events in the past year.

“Our Annual Charity Golf Classic is more than just a tradition—it is a reflection of who we are,” said Michael Wilson, Members 1st President & CEO. “By directing this year’s proceeds to our Charitable Foundation, we are strengthening our ability to support the incredible organizations that uplift our region every day. It is an honor to stand alongside them as we work together to build stronger, more resilient communities.”

Members 1st owes a special thank you to the golf outing’s top sponsor, Rice Park Law, LLC. Their continued partnership and generous support play a vital role in advancing Members 1st Charitable Foundation’s mission to give back and support grassroots organizations.
