Members 1st Federal Credit Union is proud to announce a $7,500 donation to Battle Borne, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping veterans successfully transition to civilian life and build strong, supportive communities. The donation is part of Members 1st’s 75th anniversary celebration, during which members voted to select nonprofit organizations to receive contributions throughout the year.
Battle Borne provides programs that connect veterans with guidance, mentorship and opportunities to overcome the challenges of post-service life. From personal development to community support, their initiatives strengthen resilience and foster meaningful connections among veterans and their families.
“Our members wanted to make a difference for those who have served our country,” said Sara Firestone, Vice President of Community and Public Relations at Members 1st Federal Credit Union. “Battle Borne’s work ensures veterans have the resources and support they need and we’re honored to help them continue that mission.”
Funds will support programs that provide mentorship, skills development and community-building opportunities for veterans, helping more individuals navigate the transition to civilian life successfully.
“This contribution allows us to reach more veterans and strengthen the support network available to them,” said Battle Borne President and Founder, Chris Yarnell. “It helps us create lasting impact in the lives of those who served and their families.”
This initiative is one of several ways Members 1st is giving back in 2025, celebrating its milestone anniversary by supporting organizations that empower people in Central Pennsylvania.
