WHY WORK AT MEMBERS 1ST?

OUR COMMUNITY

Every one of us is key to our mission, and we are unstoppable when we work alongside each other. We lead with our value—that is how we create our Culture of WE.

OUR VISION

We are growing our faM1ly by delivering everything they need to live well financially, through all of life’s moments and milestones

OUR MISSION

We serve our members, associates and communities through support, empowerment and meaningful relationships.

OUR VALUES

We deliver unparalleled experiences through a culture of WE. WE > me. We are servant leaders—at work and in the communities we serve. We are financially safe and sound stewards of member dollars. We are a faM1ly.

OUR CULTURE

Our culture is shaped by two Associate Resource Groups (ARGs) and our Culture of WE Committee. These voluntary, associate-led groups play a key role in supporting and advancing our Culture of WE. They offer valuable resources for personal and career development. As the groups and their members evolve, so does the strength of our Culture of WE.

Culture of WE Committee

Our Culture of WE Committee is made up of three focus groups that prioritize connection and associate appreciation:

  • Events: The Events focus group creates memorable experiences by planning and organizing events that foster collaboration, engagement and a positive work culture. They organize both associate and family events such as: Pizza with Santa, Associate Rally, Bring Your Child/Children to Work Day, bus trips and ice cream socials.
  • Care Connections: The Care Connections focus group leads the credit union by creating opportunities to connect our associates and foster new relationships that result in positive collaboration and innovation. In addition, the group is encouraged to identify process efficiencies.
  • Recognition: The Recognition focus group recognizes milestones as well as rewarding and reinforcing the organization’s CARE behaviors in our associates who make a positive impact on our faM1ly. It educates our associates on CARE behaviors and encourages peer recognition through our rewards platform.

Associate Resource Groups (ARGs)

  • Women in Leadership (WIL) - WIL fosters an inclusive environment that empowers, educates and encourages women to develop leadership, cultivate collaboration and recognize individual contributions. The ARG focuses on education, gender bias, community outreach and mentoring.
  • Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging (DIB) – DIB fosters a culture where diversity, equity and inclusion are respected and valued in our organization. It implements thoughtful, practical and innovative approaches to creating an environment where we all belong. The ARG focuses on raising awareness of diversity issues, incorporating diversity into associate events and activities as well as our community and reviewing diversity and related training curriculums.
