Key Benefit of SCRA

If you are eligible for SCRA benefits, the interest rate on debts you incurred prior to your military service could be reduced to an interest rate cap of 6% per year. This reduction applies to prior financial obligations with an interest rate above 6% .

How do I take advantage of the benefits?

You can request your benefits by submitting a written request with a copy of your military orders to Members 1st FCU, Loan Servicing Dept-SCRA, PO Box 8893, Camp Hill 17001. You can also submit your request via email or by giving us a call at (800) 283-2328, ext. 5139.

COMMON QUESTIONS

The SCRA covers full-time active duty members of the five military branches: Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and Coast Guard. Additionally, it covers Reservists on federal active duty and members of the National Guard on federal orders. Consumer Loans (which includes Auto, Unsecured, Unsecured Lines of Credit etc.), Mortgage, Home Equity and Home Equity Line of Credit Loans, Business Loans, Student Loans, Credit Cards and more are eligible for SCRA coverage. It is important to remember that this protection only applies to existing loans made prior to being called to active duty.
