To activate your card, you can either call the number on the back of your card or log in to Members 1st Digital Banking, select “Card Management” and click the card you need to activate. Then, follow the on-screen prompts.

To manage or update your PIN, you can log in to Members 1st Digital Banking, select “Card Management” and select the appropriate card. Then, follow the on-screen prompts.

Lock A Card

  • Locking a card through the Card Controls feature will place a temporary freeze on the card, blocking new transactions. However, recurring transactions will continue to be processed.
  • Deactivating a card will block all new and recurring transactions.

No. Using Card Management does not change the status of your account.

Yes. Merchant recurring transactions will still be processed. You can select to receive alerts for recurring transactions as well.

If this occurs, please contact Customer Service during their normal business hours via chat or at (800) 237-7288.

Alerts and Notifications

Log in to Members 1st Digital Banking, select “Card Management” and click on the appropriate card. Then, click “Alerts & Notifications” and deactivate any or all alerts under “Transaction and Merchant Alerts".

Card Management texts are only sent if you have a US phone number on a supported US carrier network, though delivery is not guaranteed. To stay informed, please ensure your email address is up to date, as emails can be sent 24/7. Additionally, if you have “Push Notifications” enabled, you may still receive alerts depending on your phone carrier and plan.

It is an immediate notification used to alert members of transactions made using their debit and/or credit cards. Alert preferences can be selected based on per transaction limit, transaction type and merchant type.

Controls and alert changes occur in real time and will take effect immediately after changes are made and saved.

No. To set up alert preferences for new card numbers, please navigate to Card Controls in Members 1st Digital Banking or our mobile app to select your preferences for the new card.

If you’re receiving multiple alerts for the same transaction, it could be because you’ve enrolled in alerts through Members 1st Digital Banking in addition to VISA or eZCard Info. To adjust your settings, we recommend checking each of these platforms to review and manage your alerts.

Some merchants send pre-authorizations at higher amounts to test a card's validity. Pre-authorizations are common at gas stations, for a hotel stay or for a car rental. Even though you are notified of the higher pre-authorized amount, only the correct amount will clear your account.
