Members 1st Charitable Foundation Announces Grant Recipients For The First Funding Cycle Of 2024

(Enola, PA) - The Members 1st Charitable Foundation has announced grant recipients for the first funding cycle of 2024. The foundation awards grants four times a year to organizations that serve as catalysts for positive change in their community. Organizations are eligible to receive one grant per year with a maximum grant amount of $10,000.
The 2024 first cycle grant recipients are as follows:
- Allentown Police Athletic League - Allentown, PA
- Brethren Housing Association – Harrisburg, PA
- Building Bridges for Brianna – York, PA
- Compass Mark – Lancaster, PA
- KidsPeace – Temple, PA
- The S.P.A.R.K.S. Foundation – Mohnton, PA
- Wildheart Ministries – Harrisburg, PA
- York Habitat for Humanity – York, PA
"Members 1st Charitable Foundation has a simple yet powerful goal: give back to the communities that have given us so much. Our foundation board meticulously reviews each grant application and deliberates on how to best distribute funds. It is never an easy decision, which is a testament to these incredible organizations," said Sara Firestone, the foundation's Executive Director. "Each recipient truly serves as a beacon of hope within our communities. Their dedication to creating positive change aligns with our foundation's mission, and we are honored to support each of them."
Members 1st Federal Credit Union launched the foundation in 2021 to enhance the credit union’s community support. Since its inception, the foundation has invested $331,000 back into the communities in its 10-county footprint.
