Members 1st Federal Credit Union Celebrates Recognition Driven by People and Purpose

Members 1st Federal Credit Union is being recognized for the way its associates support members and strengthen communities through meaningful, people-first work. Honors from community organizations, industry groups and regional publications reflect a consistent focus on building trust, creating opportunity and making a lasting difference. 

Recent Honors: 

  • Members 1st was named Banking Partner of the Year by Thrive Housing/Scholars Inc., honoring the credit union’s role in advancing housing-focused solutions and supporting programs that help create pathways for individuals and families. 
  • Central Penn Business Journal recognized Eric Bush, Chief Financial Officer, and Jess Whitmyer, SVP of Finance/Controller, as Leaders in Business & Finance honorees in the Chief Financial Officer/VP of Finance and Controller/Director of Finance categories, respectively. The recognition highlights their leadership in strengthening financial operations, planning and organizational growth. 
  • Central Penn Business Journal also recognized Christine (Pavlakovich) Klinger, Chief Operating Officer, as a Women of Influence Circle of Excellence honoree and Brenna Anderson, VP of Relationship Management Market Leader, as a Women of Influence honoree. Both awards celebrate leaders for strong professional contributions and community engagement.  
  • City & State PA named Michelle Mowrer, VP of Retail Services, to its Forty Under 40 list, recognizing her as one of Pennsylvania’s leaders and highlighting her impact on member experience, retail strategy and community connection. 
  • Big Brothers Big Sisters of South-Central PA honored Angela Wiley, Principal Project Manager, with the BIG Impact Award for her commitment to mentorship, service and creating positive connections that support youth across the region. 
  • Carley Evans, Relationship Manager/Officer, received the Friend of the Hive Award from Beahive Affordable Housing Outreach Inc. for her support of affordable housing outreach and her commitment to building strong community partnerships. 
  • Kyle Cooper, Video and Animation Team Lead, and Nicholas Garisto, Multimedia Specialist, with support from Jesse Schwamb, SVP of Financial Planning and Analysis, received three Silver Telly Awards for videos that celebrated member appreciation, the credit union’s 75-year legacy and personal member stories tied to milestone moments.
