Yes! To do so, access the Card Controls feature of Members 1st Online > Card Management > Card Controls > Click on the card to “Lock” your misplaced card by sliding the toggle switch. It is an immediate notification used to alert members of transactions made using their debit and/or credit cards. Alert preferences are able to be selected based on amount, location, transaction type, and merchant type.

No. Using Card Controls does not change the status of your account.

Controls and alert changes occur in real time and will take effect immediately after changes are made and saved

  • Locking a card, through the Card Controls feature, will place a temporary freeze on the card, blocking new transactions. However, reoccurring transactions will continue to be processed.
  • Deactivating a card, through the Lost/Stolen Card feature, will block all new and reoccurring transactions.

Yes. Merchant recurring transactions will still be approved. You can select to receive alerts for recurring transactions as well.

If this occurs, please contact our Card Services Department during their normal business hours at 1(833) 269-2621.

No - you will have to navigate to Card Controls, using M1st online or M1st Mobile app, to set up preferences for the new card.

There is "help" built into the service to assist you with setting up your card(s), but you can always call our Card Services Department at 1(833) 269-2621 during normal business hours for additional assistance.

Some merchants send pre-authorizations at higher amounts to test a card's validity. For example, a $25 gas purchase might display as $126. Pre-authorizations are common at the pump, for a hotel stay, or for a car rental. Even though you are notified of the amount being greater than what you actually paid, it will only clear your account for the correct amount.

No, once the authorization is made, the transaction will post to the account regardless of any controls or alerts set. Fraudulent or unauthorized transactions that you are made aware of, can be discussed with our Card Services Department at 1(833) 269-2621 during normal business hours for additional assistance.

You may have enrolled in alerts via Members 1st Online Banking, directly with VISA, or through eZCard Info. Please visit any of those three sites to review any alerts you may had enabled.
